Starting the car, it's nearing dusk, and the soothing night unrolls into your open windows.
Crap, the crank is stuck...
Driving backroads in the summer is a favorite pastime & a feature of the American experience. Whether you like it or not, you’ve either driven or ridden in some form. Hell, maybe it was on a train with encapsulated glass or an off-road vehicle with no windows—or doors—at all.
I don’t make the rules. I just form weird thoughts and stories from them. That’s what I’ll be doing here, on my brand-new substack, Backroads Driving/Windows Down.
If you’re from my old Mailchimp list, welcome back. If you remember me from when I blogged a lot during COVID or through my stories, wow! You’re, like, my internet best friends.
If you’re new, well, let me introduce myself. Get in, we’re making a Wawa run and driving the backroads. I’ll let you control the AUX just this once.
